Simple Joys

I just want to start this week's Simple Joys by saying this was an insanely tough week for me...so many joyfully high moments and then extremely heart breaking sadness.  It was a roller coaster to say the least, but that is why I love looking week by week for the joy in the mess.  God is present in all of the moments.  He held my hand this week through a some really hard stuff for our son.  He helped my heart as I helped another woman struggling through another move.  He sat with me as I prayed through what discernment looks like in my life.  He laughed when I laughed.  He is always here...I just have to stay near.

So what are my simple joys this week....

*my mom

*helping women in their homes...whether it be moving all the things or simply listening with an open heart.

*deep, real conversations....they bring me SO MUCH JOY...even if there are many tears.

*waterproof mascara...because like I said...it was a week.

*I was really present this week in the now...which was really hard to show gratitude NOW and trust that God has the future...but when you pay attention to every thing happened around you and in you and through you....compassion explodes!
